This evening's update: got a photo back from the biz clothing guys today - how's it look? We're probably going to end up with white lettering in the end, so you'll have to use your imagination. 🙂

THIS is a prime example of what really concerns me about Melbourne's suburban sprawl at the moment.
Have a look at the pic. Do you see ANY shops? Any at all?
Nope - it's all houses.

This is the current trend in greenfield subdivisions (subdivision of land that hasn't been subdivided before). ALL residential, not a single strip of local shops in sight.
What ever happened to the old "corner store milk bar" eh?
That's a lot of houses there, which means a lot of cars having to drive to the nearest shopping centre.

One of the next things on my To Do list here at Elevation Drafting, is to approach land developers about drafting subdivision projects for them. And I'll be INSISTING that each project includes at least one small strip of commercial properties.
