Elevation Drafting (formerly Syndal Drafting Services) was established in 2012 by qualified Land Surveyor, Building Designer and AutoCAD Certified Professional draftsman, Glenn McIntyre.
After completing Surveying qualifications in the early 2000’s at Box Hill and RMIT, Glenn gained experience working in Surveying and Utility Location companies in Melbourne and Perth.
In 2012 he saw an opportunity for a skilled Survey Drafter to work with multiple companies without the restrictions of traditional “9-5” working arrangements. He activated an old ABN, registered ‘Syndal Drafting Services’ (SDS), and started marketing.
Glenn gained his AutoCAD Certified Professional certification in 2013, reflecting the highest level of competence in the software, and allowing him to display the “AutoCAD Certified Professional” logo seen in the footer below.
SDS grew steadily, and we took on our first employees in 2017.
In 2018, the business re-branded as “Elevation Drafting”.
The name has strong links to Surveying, with ‘elevation’ defined as “the height of a measured point”.
Elevations are also a type of ‘vertical view’ of a property, tying our business name into construction and land development.
In 2020, Glenn’s wide range of drafting skills increased, as he completed an Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural).
In future, Elevation Drafting will broaden our drafting scope to include building design, architectural design and landscaping. Stay tuned!
